Jaipur International Film Festival - JIFF 2013 schedule announced

Jaipur : Jaipur International Film Festival - JIFF 2013 will be organized for January 27 to January 31, 2013. On the special occasion of the completion of 100 year by Indian Cinema, JIFF will promote the versatile talents associated with the film world on a single unique platform. There will be free publicity for the participants so that they can establish themselves on international dais and develop their discrete identity.

The registration process will be executed for 100 individuals/organizations in every category and the recipients will be entertained on the ‘first come and first serve’ basis.

2. 100 freelance filmmakers
3. 100 film/ TV/ animation/ media/ school/ department/ organization
4. 100 production houses/ distributers
5. 100 films/filmmakers (submitted and non –submitted in JIFF)
6. 100 directors (only of films and TV).  It comprises the work in the field of short, documentary, animation and feature
7. 100 scripts/ screenplay writers for both films and TV
8. 100 cameramen/ sound recorders
9. 100 editors for film &TV both
10. 100 Musicians
11. 100 exhibitors
12. 100 Artists
13. 100 young filmmakers
14. 100 filmmakers who are more than 50 years of age
15. 100 choreographers
16. 100 Student filmmakers
17. 100 Short filmmakers
18. 100 Documentary filmmakers
19. 100 Animation filmmakers
20. 100 Feature film filmmakers
21. 100 Ad filmmakers
22. 100 Film Festivals around the world
23. 100 film makers who were submitted their film in JIFF 2009, 2010, 2011 & 2012.
24. 100 film makers who submitted the film in JIFF 2013
25. 100 cine lovers from all over the world

JIFF will also organize a Torch Campaign in 13 districts of Rajasthan which may complete the journey of 5000 kms and reach up to 5000000 people. Motive of the Torch Campaign is to celebrate the 100 years of Indian Cinema in every village and in every city of Rajasthan.

The magnificent ‘Torch Campaign’ will start from the month of December 2012 and will last on January 27, 2013.  During this period, the ‘Torch Campaign’’ will pass through several important destinations of Rajasthan including the Pink City Jaipur, Sikar, Jhunjunu, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Pali, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Kota, Udaipur, Bharatpur, Alwar etc. It will return back on January 27, 2013 on the occasion of the inauguration ceremony of the 5th Jaipur International Film Festival at Birla Auditorium, Jaipur.

Proposed route of the Torch Campaign can be divided into 2 segments. One is Jaipur, Sikar, Churu, Bikaner, Jaislmer, Barmer, Pali, Jodhpur, Ajmer, and Jaipur, while the second route will be Jaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur, Dhaulpur, Karuli, Kota, Udaipur, Chittaurgarh, Bhilwara, Ajmer and Jaipur.

“The screening of nearly 300 films will be done during the period of 30 days. Approximately 25000 visitors are expected in JIFF 2013”, Hanu Roj, Founder and Director of Jaipur International Film Festival said.
