Halfords sold on stylish, fire-resistant casing solutions

May 10, 2012 - PRLog -- Halfords needed unobtrusive column casings to provide fire protection to structural support columns for the mezzanine floor at its store on the Cambridge Retail Park.

In total, 23 Metza casings finished in a goosewing grey, each 3.6m high casings were used to fit around and protect support columns. This improves their structural integrity and provides additional protection in the event of a fire.

Metza casings are manufactured using an outer skin of coated steel lined with dense fire-resistant Rocksilk matting which acts as a fire barrier and complies with UK Building Regulations.
