George Ng Presents at International Pharmaceutical Regulatory and Compliance Congress Forum
George Ng, a partner in the firm’s Orange County office, will be presenting at the Sixth International Pharmaceutical Regulatory and Compliance Congress and Best Practices Forum in Budapest, Hungary on May 14, 2012.
The International Pharmaceutical Congress brings together senior global compliance and ethics professionals and legal counsel from the European Union, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa to share experiences and best practices to clarify regulatory and compliance challenges and discuss potential responses to them. Mr. Ng will be presenting on a China Pharmaceutical Compliance case study where he will discuss regulatory and compliance “hot topics,” enforcement, market access and pricing issues, expected future developments, and areas of special attention. In particular, Mr. Ng will address compliance and regulatory issues and considerations of doing business in China and with Chinese companies.
George Ng is a partner in the firm’s Business and Finance practice group. He has significant global experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device matters. He is a former national co-chair of the life sciences practice group of Gordon & Rees LLP. In industry, Mr. Ng has held various senior management roles with multiple, publicly-traded, global biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies with oversight over legal, compliance, and intellectual property functions. Through these roles, which included stints as the Head of Legal and Chief Compliance Officer of a publicly-traded, global pharmaceutical company, he has gained unique industry insight. In addition, Mr. Ng has represented companies, as Chief IP Counsel, in-house, and in private practice.
