Miss South Carolina United States Chelsea Gregory Collects Gowns for An Evening of Believing

May 10, 2012 - PRLog -- The Sandbox, a non-profit organization in the Charlotte area has been preparing for their second annual "prom" that benefits children with pediatric cancer and other life threatening illness from around the region.  

Part of their team includes Goodwill Ambassador, Chelsea Gregory, Miss South Carolina United States 2012, who has been working hard to get donations of prom gowns, shoes, jewelry and handbags intended to outfit those teens who will be attending this year.  The prom,  "An Evening of Believing" is scheduled to be held on September 28th at the Bank of America Founder's Hall in Uptown Charlotte.  

Chelsea helped The Sandbox last year as Miss South Carolina International 2011 with their prom "An Evening of Stars".  She was instrumental in getting over 100 gowns donated by The Fairy Godmother Project of Music City.  This year Chelsea has gowns coming from The Fairy Godmother Project of Music City, Pretty and Primped of Greensboro, NC, Cinderella Dreams of Midlothian, Virginia, and The Human Society of York County.  In all she has over 250 gowns being donated for the event.

Chelsea has a passion for children with life threatening illness.  She was unable to attend the prom last year but shot a video message that was broadcast to the guests during the event.  

In addition to working with teens and The Sandbox, Chelsea will be traveling to Columbia, SC and visiting the children at Palmetto Children's Hospital on May 21st to hold a "spa day" for the children.  They will have their nails painted and hair braided if they wish.
