May 7, 2012 - PRLog -- During the first half of the show author Jennifer Ciotta will talk about how her 12 years of research turned into a humanizing novel about Vladimir Putin

Jennifer Ciotta has a unique fascination with Russian President Vladimir Putin. She has researched and studied him for over 12 years, including the completion of a Masters Degree in Russian studies from NYU. She also spent two years in Estonia with the Peace Corps. An avid professional writer, she has applied her many years of research into the creation of a new book that uses fiction to explore and humanize the newly re-elected leader of the Russian Federation.

“I am neither a supporter nor a critic of Vladimir Putin. But I do find him, his journey to power and his life fascinating,” she says.

Her new book, titled I, PUTIN is a captivating story about human interaction, compassion and tough decisions set against the real-life tragedy which occurred in the year 2000 when the Kursk, a Russian submarine, exploded with 118 sailors aboard. Newly elected President Vladimir Putin was at the helm of this crisis and chose unorthodox ways (unorthodox to a Westerner at least) to react. This was one of his
first major activities as president.

Ciotta says, “People have forgotten what happened when the Kursk submarine exploded and sank into the abyss. This is when Putin took total control of the Russian media—and [the Kursk tragedy] changed him forever.”

Her story offers credible, timely and important insights into how Putin makes decisions and exercises iron-handed control even today.

I, PUTIN is available on Amazon.

During the second half of the show we'll talk to Jennifer Hancock about Transforming Lives Through Humanism

By sharing her pragmatic Humanist approach to living life fully and intentionally, Jennifer has transformed the lives of those who have been touched by her work. By encouraging people be the best, most ethical humans they can be, she consistently challenges people to think about and question who they are, what they are and more importantly, how they want to be.

She is one of the few individuals in America who was raised as a Humanist and she brings her delightful sense of humor, creativity, compassion combined with a no-nonsense approach to all of her work and her coaching. She will help you focus on what really matters in your life and will teach you the practical skills you need to life your life the way you know you should be: ethically, compassionately and responsibly.
