May 6, 2012 - PRLog -- The Thought Exchange, based on the bestselling book of the same title, is a new metaphysical documentary film by Usher Morgan. The film challenges the concepts described in self-help programs such as The Secret, and asserts that positive thinking techniques and self-help books alone will not work, unless people are willing to experience and persevere though any uncomfortable sensations that might accompany positive thoughts. The film explores different metaphysical concepts developed by Disney composer David Friedman, who stars in the film. The film also stars Lucie Arnaz and Arje Shaw and is narrated by Colleen B. McGloin.

"Our thoughts create our reality. What we think appears before us in the world."
We all know this… so why don't we do it?

The Thought Exchange explores a simple yet profound way of looking at the world that allows us to understand and experience the truth about who we really are, where we really live, what we really want, and how to have that all the time.  In this groundbreaking documentary, David Friedman takes us on a journey that begins where most of us started and perhaps still are: firmly entrenched in the ambitions, strivings and frustrations of the physical world. The documentary leads us, step by step, discovery by discovery, to this new world, the REAL world, that has always been right here, inside us. In this world, we not only find that we have all that we’ve looking for, but we discover that the “outer” world has no choice but to reflect the contentment, success and peace that we already have, and have always had, inside of ourselves. By watching this film, you are embarking on a journey that perhaps you have begun many times, only to get lost, frustrated or sidetracked along the way. This film will lead you, in ways you’ve never been led before, to where you’ve always truly wanted to be.

The film, which will be launched online on May 5th, 2012, was produced and directed by Usher Morgan and will be distributed by Digital Magic Entertainment. This is Morgan's first feature film.

THE CAST

DAVID FRIEDMAN: Leading the film is brilliant Disney composer David Friedman, who created The Thought Exchange concept when teaching the Artist Support Group at Unity of New York. David Friedman has written songs of inspiration, love and hope that take on new emotional meaning in these challenging times.  With 6 Broadway shows, his own Off Broadway Show , 9 Disney Films, 4 television series and recordings by such artists as Diana Ross, Barry Manilow and Nancy LaMott to his credit, David has, in recent years, come to realize that his true mission in life is to help heal and enlighten people in whatever ways he can.  With this in mind, David spends a great deal of time travelling around the country lecturing, giving concerts and teaching The Thought Exchange principles in workshops and private sessions.

LUCIE ARNAZ: Lucie Arnaz made her first acting appearance in a continuing role in the series Here's Lucy from 1968 to 1974. She branched out into television roles independent of her family from the mid-1970s. In 1975, she played infamous murder victim Elizabeth Short in a production of Who is the Black Dahlia? and since then, she continued to make appearances in popular television series, feature films and on Broadway stages. Arnaz was also the star of her own show, The Lucie Arnaz Show, in 1985. She won an Emmy Award in 1993 for her documentary Lucy and Desi: A Home Movie.
