New York State Violates Anti-Slavery Amendment Claims Top Acupuncture Physician!

May 6, 2012 - PRLog -- The U.S. Constitution's anti-slavery amendments require equal treatment under the law however in NYS a Licensed Acupuncturist with thousands of hours of training must share fees with an MD to get paid simply because of unconstitutional medical cronyism says Chi.

A Licensed Acupuncturist independently diagnoses and treats disease in their own clinics yet NYS and United Healthcare created a system to make L.Ac's submit to MD's simply to be paid, effectively controlling the L.Ac's like economic slaves Chi expounds.

NYS Employee insurance the Empire Plan pays for acupuncture treatment. The catch? The acupuncturist must work for a medical doctor and take whatever pay the MD wishes. That's if an MD wants a real acupuncturist. The law allows M.D.'s to do acupuncture with only a few hundred hours of video “training” and they don't have to tell patients they are hobbyist acupuncturists according to Tom Chi who is a highly respected acupuncture practitioner and has treated over 100 medical doctors, members of Congress, Oprah Winfrey and many of Hollywood's biggest stars.

Avengers actor Mark Ruffalo said “Tom Chi saved my life and career” with acupuncture. Until the discrimination against Licensed Acupuncturists is ended by New York State most people who rely on their medical insurance will not have the opportunity for expert care.

United Healthcare's Medical Director Dr. Skip Casano recently told Chi “we only administer the plan for NYS”. Chi's reply: “So you are saying that if you tell Rosa Parks to go to the back of the bus on behalf of the State you are not complicit?” Casano refused to raise the issue with  NYS  or United Healthcare's legal department  saying “I don't want to get fired” according to Chi.

This discriminatory plan limits access, raises prices for care and is unconstitutional says Chi who declares NYS must end these medical “Jim Crow” policies.

Chi says that constitutionally NYS must pay L.Ac's directly allowing people to choose medicine without a medical mafia controlling it. Chi also notes: “acupuncture works and is the first choice for pain, asthma, hot flashes, digestion and so much more!”

Chi says it's time to end the bias and emancipate L.Ac.'s from the current M.D. rigged system as well as to require all NYS licensed insurors to provide acupuncture treatment or no longer be licensed to offer insurance in NYS. His rationale is not just that it works but that NYS specifies thousands of hours of training and testing then licenses acupuncturists to practice this Traditional Chinese Medicine and can't exclude it's licensees from fair treatment and payment.

“We are in a new millennium where medical bigotry cannot be tolerated” says Chi. “Fortunately our Constitution prohibits this despicable behavior and puts people first over unethical practices”.
