ForceSelect to Provide Ex-Military Personnel to Boost Oil & Gas Industry

May 3, 2012 - PRLog -- ForceSelect founder Hugh Andrée visited Aberdeen with fellow ForceSelect Director and author Andy McNab to raise funds for the ForceSelect Foundation earlier this year in partnership with Upper Quartile, and this second visit will focus on promoting the opportunities for businesses and service leavers in Aberdeen and internationally.

ForceSelect works with some of the UK’s leading companies to provide jobs and mentoring for some of the 22,000 military personnel who leave the Armed Forces each year. The MoD recently announced over 4,000 job cuts in a second round of Armed Forces redundancies as part of the Strategic Defence and Security Review.

Hugh Andrée said: “I was hugely impressed by my last visit to Aberdeen earlier this year and I am tremendously excited about the opportunity to assist local businesses.

“A number of companies have committed to recruiting ex-military personnel, notably engineers. The oil and gas industry is growing and ForceSelect is uniquely positioned to support the personnel requirements of this industry, providing Aberdeen businesses with highly skilled, reliable individuals who have the rigour to work in hostile environments.”
