May 2, 2012 - PRLog -- The JERSEY SHORE heats up with Summer Festival fun for the entire family! No matter what your culinary taste or music preference, there is a festival that promises to appeal to your style. Kicking off with the Point Pleasant Chamber’s 22nd Annual Summerfest, June 2nd in Community Park, and followed by the 24th Annual Asbury Park Jazz Festival, June 30th & July 1st, hosted by the City of Asbury Park and the Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation. A few shorts weeks later, after everyone settles down from their 4th of July celebrations, the Bradley Beach Chamber is throwing the largest Lobsterfest on the east coast. This festival has been so popular that the Chamber has doubled the event size and expanded to a multi day event, July 14th & 15th.  The Boys and Girls Clubs of Monmouth are getting in on the festival circuit with their first ever Labor Day BBQ. The event promises to be a huge success with over 250,000 square feet of Asbury Park’s lush green grass, packed with multiple stages playing everything from classic rock to reggae, and of course it’s not a BBQ without a little country music! Additionally, one of the Largest Summer Seafood Festivals promises to expand the summer season past Labor Day in Asbury Park. The Asbury Park Chamber will be hosting their Annual Oysterfest, September 7th, 8th and 9th with a new location and the resurrection of the popular “Oyster Oasis”; this is sure to remain Asbury’s flagship event.  Not to be shown up by its neighboring beachfront communities, Neptune Township will be showcasing their own waterfront at their annual Riverfest on September 29th conveniently located on the Shark River between The Headliner night club and Sunsets restaurant. “Relocating the event last year from downtown to the waterfront was a great success and the township looks forward to growing the event once again this year!” said Monique’ Burger, Community Programs Coordinator for Neptune Township.
Crab cakes, lobster rolls, alligator sausage, coal oven pizza, gyros, shaved ice, Texas brisket, calamari, funnel cakes, Italian gelato, grilled hot dogs, specialty burgers, oysters on the ½ shell, steamed lobsters, roasted corn, kettle corn, bottomless flavored sodas and so much more will be on the menu at all of the events this summer. In addition to the variety of food and music, there will be children’s games, prizes, rides and entertainment for all ages.  From the stilt walkers, balloon artists, face painting, temporary tattoos and sand art to mechanical rides, huge water slides and a sparkling new 40’ Ferris wheel, there is sure to be something for everyone at the festivals.
Nothing goes better with the fun and sun than an ice-cold beer. There will be a beer and wine garden at every event with a selection of light beers, summer brews and chilled wine.

“During the summer of 2012 we helped generate over $50,000 for our various nonprofit partners and entertained over 100,000 visitors at our different events. We are very thankful to all of our past sponsors and media partners and are looking forward to another record breaking summer”, said Mike Hollemans, Director of Logistics for The Passion Group, a local event management company headquartered in downtown Asbury Park.
