New Wheelchair Gloves For Quadriplegic Wheelchair Users

A new wheelchair glove has been designed specifically for quadriplegics and others with hand mobility limitations.
May 2, 2012 - PRLog -- A new design of wheelchair gloves for Quadriplegic Wheelchair Users has been launched. The manufacturers of RehaDesign Wheelchair Accessories have announced a new type of leather wheelchair gloves designed specifically for people with hand dexterity limitations.

There are several unique design features which offer advantages to people with hand disabilities:

First, the gloves are designed to be easy to put on. One style of gloves opens wide to allow the hand to easily be put on. Another style comes with a strap so that the gloves are very easier to close.

Second, the gloves are made with two separate hand grips on the palm which are designed to improve the traction on the push-rims. But also the space between the hand grips have a hinge-like effect, making the gloves easier to bend.

Third, the back of the hands are left open. Those people with some ability to move the hand will find that this design allows the hand to bend more easily. This glove is designed to give the wearer maximum grip and hand protection with minimum restriction to the hand.
