Global Compression Leader SIGVARIS Participates in Three Fitness Expos with Chances to Win Socks

May 1, 2012 - PRLog -- PEACHTREE CITY, GA – During the first week in May, SIGVARIS representatives will team up with three running stores for the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini Marathon Expo (Ind.), the Long Island Marathon Health & Fitness Expo (N.Y.), and the Broad Street Run’s Not for Runners Only Expo (Pa.) to help educate runners nationwide about the benefits of wearing “True Graduated Compression.”

The use of compression wear is a growing trend among athletes worldwide. When athletes wear “True Graduated Compression,” compression that is tightest at the ankle, during and after exercise or competition, it helps flush out lactic acid and provides symptomatic relief of delayed onset leg muscle soreness. At each event, representatives from SIGVARIS will be on hand to properly measure and fit athletes for sports compression sleeves and socks. A proper fit is essential to ensuring the maximum health benefits when using graduated compression products.
