Olympus Brands Announce NuviFlex Price Rise to Ensure the Arthritis Treatment Supplement for Pets

Olympus Brands has announced a NuviFlex price rise to ensure that the Dog & Cat arthritis treatment supplement remains a premium product
April 30, 2012 - PRLog -- Miami, FL -- NuviFlex is an all-natural premium joint supplement that actively supports healthy joints and cartilage for pets. The product is Veterinarian recommended and brings together 6 clinically proven ingredients (Cetyl Myristoleate, Glucosamine HCL, Chondroitin, MSM, Omega 3, and Hyaluronic Acid) into a single non-prescription nutritional supplement.

Olympus Brands, manufacturer of the NuviFlex Hip and Joint formula for Dogs and Cats, have just announced a product price rise in a recent letter sent out to the company’s loyal customer base.

According to Olympus Brands founder, Sinead Imbaro, the price increase came as a result of new FDA regulations, which require supplement manufacturers to perform thorough testing of their products. It is the FDA guidelines and product testing that has ensured that Nuviflex remains a premium hip and joint supplement.

“The raw material based dietary supplemental industry is facing a new set of regulations that the US FDA passed. From the FDA's perspective, a primary problem with the dietary supplement industry prior to 2007 related to inconsistent quality in the ingredients used in supplements and a corresponding lack of traceability to the origination of those ingredients,” said Imbaro, who started Olympus Brands to help animals enhance their quality of life after witnessing the arthritic pains of her own pets.

All active ingredients in the NuviFlex Hip and Joint Formula Products, manufactured in the USA at the company’s cGMP and FDA registered facility, are tested by the US Pharmacopeia (USP) for 1) Purity, 2) Potency 3) Identity and 4) Composition.

To enable this testing to take place, new raw materials with the ability to have their identity and potency confirmed were introduced to the product. It was the introduction of these raw materials that has raised production costs for the product, which is made from 100% Human Grade ingredients, due to the fact that manufacturing takes place at a human pharmaceutical facility rather than a pet plant.

“Although such material is priced at a premium to its competition, we are of the opinion that it will provide the most consistent quality, leading to the greatest benefit for all parties in the supply chain in the long term. Olympus Brands Inc. is therefore also not spared from continuous raw material cost increases. We have made every attempt to avoid the increase, but we refuse to compromise on quality. This is our only recourse. We think you will agree that the quality of our NuviFlex products should not be sacrificed,” said Imbaro.

According to Imbaro, the company have experienced a much greater rise in manufacturing costs as a result of the FDA changes than is reflected in their new price point.

“Our costs have increased greatly but we are absorbing a considerable cost to keep it low and affordable for our customers,” said Imbaro

Olympus Brands Inc. is a wholesale and retail company that provide nutritional supplements for promoting health in animals. The NuviFlex Hip and Joint nutritional supplements by Olympus Brands are Veterinarian recommended and help aid to treat the root causes of arthritis in Dogs and Cats. Company President, Sinead Imbaro, founded Olympus Brands Inc. after observing serious joint pain in her own pets.
