Charity Raffle at Jan’s Paperbacks to benefit local school kids

April 27, 2012 - PRLog -- The 2012 charity raffle at Jan’s Paperbacks will be held May 1st through May 19th with all proceeds going to two local school projects through www.DonorsChoose.org.  Jan’s is committed to supporting the local community and hosts this annual event to earn money to help local school kids with literacy projects.  Raffle tickets are $1 and are available at the store.  Prizes will include author signed tote bags filled with books and other goodies, $5, $10 and $20 gift codes to http://www.JansPaperbacks.com as well as a Kobo eReader.  All prizes will be on display in the store as well as pictures and descriptions on http://www.JansPaperbacks.com.  Winners will be selected at the end of business on May 19th and notified via email.  

http://www.DonorsChoose.com is an online charity connecting classrooms in need.  Public school teachers post their classroom projects in need of funds and contributors go online and submit donations to the project, classroom and community that they choose.  Jan’s will contribute 100% of the money earned from the raffle to two pre-selected classroom projects in the Washington County area.
