Security Leaders Convene in Austin to Discuss Technology Trends
Top security leaders convene in Austin on Thursday, May 3, 2012, with opportunities to learn from and engage some of the best minds in risk management and technology. Topics include compliance, secure payments, network trends and more.
The 2012 Liquid Networx Road Show provides technology leaders the opportunity to ask their most perplexing technology questions and receive valuable input while also learning about the challenges and solutions other businesses are experiencing. After an afternoon of interactive presentations, networking discussion on specific topics of interest bring attendees and experts together to facilitate further exchanges.
“The value to business leaders is our tremendously concentrated presentation format,” said Don Douglas, Liquid Networx CEO. “It’s been condensed down to the most significant essentials with commentary by those on the leading edge. The idea is for attendees to extract immense value without having to spend two days in conferences.”
Among the lineup of speakers is trial lawyer and author Karen Monson. With extensive experience managing forensic data and electronic discovery, she advises clients on current topics in employment law and helps develop effective strategies for document retention and intellectual property management. "This event is an opportunity to shed light on important technology issues affecting business owners today," said Monson. "If policies, and coordination of those policies, are not done with a high attention to detail, businesses can be legally at risk of expensive governmental and other court-of-law sanctions. Every C-level executive in Austin needs this information."
The Liquid Networx Roadshow called “Tech and Tequila” takes place at the W Austin. A variety of speaker presentations and networking discussions will be followed by a special reception including heavy hors d’ oeuvres and an educational Don Julio tequila master presentation.
Due to support from major companies with a significant interest in Texas, the event is provided without charge to qualifying attendees but space is limited. Companies currently sponsoring the event include SonicWall, VXi, InnerCity FiberNet, Jackson Walker, Veracode, Adtran, CityNAP, idea2 and Shoretel.
The event was recently described as “a unique format with thought provoking, critical decision making content for today’s C-level executive” by a CTO security thought leader at the Tech and Tequila event in Dallas last month.
