FMD Opens New York Office on Fifth Avenue
The world’s largest fashion database expands to Fifth Avenue, providing the first US office.
The Fashion Model Directory (FMD) today announced the opening of a New York office, to better represent and intercommunicate with the fashion industry in the United States.
“We’re delighted to announce the opening of our Fifth Avenue representation office,” commented Iva Mirbach, Editor-in-Chief of FMD.
“We’re glad to now have a close place to the most important modeling agencies and fashion brands in the world , and to maintain a stable communication. Our new location provides a great place to meet with US fashion heads and corporations.”
Located at 244 Fifth Avenue, this is the first US office for FMD, and the opening in the heart of New York’s fashion district is the start of a more extensive expansion plan, with the next office planned to open in Los Angeles, third quarter of 2013.
Mirbach continued, “Our expansion plans with New York being the centerpiece of our US growth initiatives in 2012. We hope to have our LA office opened sometime later in 2013, with an eye toward expanding to Houston and Miami in 2014.,”
Executive editor and US head Theo Villegas will lead and accompany the development as well as the integration of the NYC base.
