18th Annual Bluesfest International Party At The Riverfront – It’s A Getaway
Forget gas prices.From July 13-15,you can travel from Peterborough to Milwaukee, all the way south to Texas & Argentina via Chicago, and back up north through Nashville and New York to Detroit, without leaving the beautiful Riverfront Festival Plaza
Headlining Saturday night is Alto Reed & the Motor City Allstars (Detroit), with special guest Mark Farner (Flint) doing all his legendary Grand Funk hits. Saturday’s other headliners are Bobby Rush’s Big Band (Louisiana) and Big Brother & the Holding Company, Janis Joplin’s original band (California)
Closing out this year’s festival is The Brooks Family Blues Dynasty. Led by Chicago Blues icon Lonnie Brooks and rounded out by his two sons, Wayne and Ronnie, this true Blues dynasty reflects the evolution of the genre over five decades. Jimmy Bowskill (Peterborough)
