Dallas Social Venture Partners to Host Panel Luncheon Discussing "Collective Impact"

A discussion about the ambitious initiative to improve Dallas school achievement for every child every step of the way through collaboration by leaders in the education, community, civic, business and philanthropic sectors.

April 25, 2012 - PRLog -- Stanford Social Innovation Review’s 2010 feature, “Collective Impact,” asserts that large-scale change requires broad, cross-sector coordination.  Dallas is home to several such programs that share the ambitious mission of improving student educational achievement.  Dallas Social Venture Partners will assemble a stellar panel of local thought leaders, including Susan Hoff of United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, Todd Williams of Commit!, Regina Nippert of the Center on Communities and Education at Simmons, and Danny Henley of the Zero-to-Five Funders Collaborative, to discuss how this model is impacting the Dallas area.

The panel discussion is the final educational program of DSVP’s four-part Social Innovation Luncheon Series and will be held on Friday, May 18, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Tower Club at Thanksgiving Tower (1601 Elm Street, 48th Floor, Dallas 75201). Tickets are $50 each. For more information and to purchase tickets, call 972.386.7870 or visit www.DSVP.org.  Seating is limited for this soon-to-sell-out event.

DSVP’s Social Innovation Luncheon Series is made possible with the generous support of the following sponsors:  The Dallas Foundation (title sponsor); Dallas Business Journal (media sponsor); Boone Family Foundation; The Center on Communities & Education at the Annette Caldwell Simmons School of Education & Human Development, Commit!, and United Way of Metropolitan Dallas (supporting sponsors).  Special thanks to Friedman Marketing and Public Relations.
