April 25, 2012 - PRLog -- When hearing of a company who is responsible for 2.5 million beverages brewed daily and 6% of all brewed coffee every day, you would probably guess that the company is based out of Seattle and has a location on every street corner, but you would be wrong.  Keurig is based out of Reading, Massachusetts and is the beloved creator and distributor of the single serving K-cups of coffee, tea, hot chocolate and other beverages and the single serving machines.

“Introduced in 1998, Keurig’s innovative single cup brewing system lets people brew the perfect cup of gourmet coffee in less than a minute, without having to grind beans, measure coffee, handle filters or clean up.  It’s as simple as it gets.” (Keurig.com)

Chris Stevens is one of the original team members who developed and launched the Keurig products.  Being a part of a highly successful team is vital to an entrepreneur's success.  Chris Stevens was a large part of more than one highly successful team in his life.  Chris was also a part of the 1973-74 Notre Dame basketball team that famously ended the longest NCAA men's basketball winning streak when they beat UCLA after having won 88 straight games.

Chris will speak at the 2012 National Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization (CEO) Conference in Chicago on November 2nd.  His message will be heard by over 1,200 college students and entrepreneurs who will attend the three day conference.

Chris' entrepreneurial endeavors reach outside of his success with Keurig. In addition to co-owning three commercial websites, a real estate company based in Washington, D.C., and a production company in Hollywood, He is also the executive producer of a soon to be released film and also serves as a part-time actor and voice-over specialist.  Chris recently started on a new venture as the lead investor of Snow or Sand, a web based business that offers foreign travel solutions to college students

Aside from his profitable business ventures, Chris also is an avid supporter of research to fight cancer and Huntington's disease as well as a current member of the ALS National Board. He is author of the book "Fighting to Give," which chronicles his Notre Dame classmate and friend Jimmy Culveyhouse's battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). All proceeds from the book will be donated to ALS research in Culveyhouse's name, cancer research in the name of Stevens' late wife, Marian, and Huntington's disease in the name of his two brothers who died of the disease.

Chris Stevens is a great role model for young entrepreneurs and is sure to make a big impact at the 2012 CEO National Conference.  To attend the conference, help to sponsor the event, or if you have general inquiries, please contact ceo@c-e-o.org.
