-- Colleen Mook, founder and CEO of personalized baby gift business Baby Be Hip will appear on the "Today" show with Kathie Lee and Hoda on Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in honor of the nineteenth anniversary of Take Our Daughters to Work Day. Mook will be featured with her oldest daughter, ten-year-old Molly, as well as Nell Merlino, the founder of Take Our Daughters to Work Day and one of Mook's mentors.
In addition to being the founder of Take Our Daughters to Work Day, Merlino is also the founder, President and CEO of Count Me In for Women's Economic Independence, the leading non-profit to provide women with numerous resources to make their businesses grow and succeed. She established Take Our Daughters to Work Day in 1993 as a way for young girls to experience a day in the workforce and set goals and ambitions for future careers.
Merlino appears with Mook, who herself was recently featured on the mentoring panel of the Women in Technology Summit, an event held in Philadelphia that is intended to empower, challenge, and inspire women at all stages of their careers. Mook was selected as a winner in Merlino's "Make Mine a Million $ Business", a program empowering women to act as economic leaders. Since then, Mook has considered Merlino to be a great mentor and inspiration.
