April 25, 2012 - PRLog -- In the early years of 1888 the first ever photo booth was filed for a patent by William Pope and Edward Poole of Baltimore, but some doubt that the photo booth was ever actually made. The first real known working photo booth system was a product of French inventor T.E. Enjalbert in 1889. Next a German born photographer who went by the name of Mathew Steffens from Chicago filled a patent for the same machine in the same year. Photo booths in their early days weren’t considered very reliable, and also took about ten minutes to process, develop and print pictures out.

In the past few years photo booths seemed to come back in to the limelight as they had a major makeover, on the outside, and on the technology inside.
There are so many more things you can do now with photo booth systems, that no-one ever thought you could dream of doing back in the day. Photos take around 10 seconds to process, develop and print, which proves that the inner technology of the photo booth has been completely revamped.

Back in the days, there was only one photo booth system available, where as today, there are so many different photo booths available, its un-real, our company alone supplies a black photo booth, a white photo booth, which is more for weddings, a party pod, which is the same as a photo booth system but without the casing around it, which makes it more suitable for smaller venues, we also offer a party pillar, which is a very small photo booth system, appropriate for even smaller venues, also, we offer a New York taxi photo booth which is the only one in the UK, this New York taxi has appeared in films such as Home Alone 2, Bronx Is Burning, it’s even appeared in the musical Fame. Lastly we offer a normal photo booth with your own design for the skin of the photo booth, people often go for this option as it creates a more personal experience with photo booths. The text on the photographs printed out can also be changed to make your experience even more personal, usually we just put our company logo on the photos, but people usually opt for putting something like the event date or event name.

Photo booths in America are typically used for taking photos for passports etc.., But in the UK, we hire photo booths out to events such as weddings, birthdays etc…
