Tec-Masters, Inc. Receives Patriot Award

April 24, 2012 - PRLog -- The Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) organization awarded Tec-Masters, Inc. its Patriot Award “For Contributing to National Security and Protecting Liberty and Freedom by Supporting Employee Participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Force.”  Established in 1972, ESGR is sponsored by the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense and presents the award on behalf of the Department of Defense.

Tec-Masters, Inc. President and CEO, Dr. Marvin P. Carroll, received the award from ESGR representative Tim Kinnison, COL, USAF (Retired).  Colonel Kinnison emphasized the critical role employer’s play in the readiness of Guard and Reserve service members and the special contribution made by Tec-Masters, Inc. through its policies and commitment.

“We can’t do enough to help those soldiers serving our country so we can enjoy our freedom,” said Carroll.  “We carry an especially warm place in our hearts for those deployed and for their families.”  

Tec-Masters, Inc. employee and Tennessee Army National Guard Staff Sergeant Larry Cantu has served in the Guard for 11 years, was deployed to Kuwait for 12 months, and returned in January 2012.  “I was the NCOIC (Non-Commissioned Officer In Charge) responsible for the Information Systems Analysis – Small Systems Administration in Kuwait,” stated Cantu.  “This involved all forms of communication, from network connectivity, to VOIP phones, satellites, and SINCGARS (Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System).”  Cantu continued, “Everyone at Tec-Masters has been very supportive of my duty and allowed me to be part of something bigger than myself.  While I was deployed, it gave me great comfort knowing that my work family was behind me.  I love Tec-Masters.  I could work here the rest of my life, learn, and grow.”
