Major League Baseball Helps Groundbreaking, Summer Pilot Program for HBCU Students
MLB’s Dominican Operations have agreed to work with the DRSEA/IERCEF internship program in identifying and securing teams to participate in the innovative pilot program.
That’s what the International Educational Resources Center Education Foundation (www.iercef.org)
MLB’s Dominican Operations have agreed to work with the DRSEA/IERCEF internship program in identifying and securing teams to participate in the innovative pilot program in the island-nation that shares a boarder with Haiti. "This is our answer to boosting graduate employability and raising the bar on student of color participation in study abroad it’s also an example of the vision of MLB" said Steven W. Jones: President/CEO of IERCEF.
The Dominican Republic Sports & Education Academy (DRSEA), and the IERC
Education Foundation (IERCEF), 501(c)(3)s, strategically partnered to combine career development, sports, global engagement and intercultural exchange via multiple disciplines. This initiative will give students vital insight into the baseball industry at a fundamental level not usually accessible to those outside the industry, creating a unique, career-relevant and culturally enriching study abroad experience.
