The Vera Smart Trust presents the Heath Quartet at the Brangwyn Hall

April 24, 2012 - PRLog -- There is an unique opportunity to catch the gifted Heath Quartet who perform at the Brangwyn Hall on Thursday 26 April at 7.30pm, courtesy of the Vera Smart Trust.

Rapidly emerging as an exciting and original voice of the international chamber music scene, the Heath Quartet is undoubtedly destined for a formidable career.

They were selected for representation by the Young Classical Artist Trust in 2008 before going on to win 1st Prize at the Tromp International Competition in Eindhoven and then runner-up at the Haydn International Competition in Vienna.

The Brangwyn Hall is a popular centre of social and cultural life in Swansea and is one of the principal cultural locations in Swansea. It is regularly used for weddings, functions, award ceremonies, events and concerts.  It houses the Brangwyn Hall panels, also known as the British Empire Panels.

The Guildhall was opened on 23 October 1934, and has played a central role in the lives of the people of Swansea ever since.  It has functioned as the focal point of local government and justice and is the centre of civic ceremony.
