Ahmedabad: Godrej Appliances, one of the largest players of Home Appliances in India who have always believed in delighting its consumers with state of the art technologically efficient products commissioned their new Air-conditioner line to start the commercial production of green Air-conditioners for the first time in the world, and with that have launched the Godrej EON Green Balance range of 5 star air conditioners. The all new 5 star range not only exceeds the energy saving rating specified by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) for 2012 but surpasses the ratings specified for 2014 standards. It is also stylishly crafted to perfectly compliment the ultra modern trends in designer homes and offices across India.

Speaking on the occasion, George Menezes, COO, Godrej Appliances, said,                                 “This is a historic moment not just for Godrej but for the industry. While many companies across the world have been working on this technology like us, we are delighted to be the first one to commercially manufacture and launch  this product in the market. The very fact that the Government of India and the Government of Germany have been our partner in this Endeavour showcases the significance of this launch. This also reflects our organizations commitment to the green cause, which we are known for.”
Commenting on the continuing importance of West Bengal as a priority market, Kamal Nandi, Executive Vice-President, Godrej Appliances, said, “In India, this product is much ahead of the BEE regulatory standard. In fact if we extrapolate the current Energy standard then this product will qualify for the 2016 regime. Today if I compare this with existing 5 stars then this product saves 23% more than the existing 5 star and even better than inverter technology . We will be launching this in India as Green Balance technology. With this launch, we expect to grow by 30% this year in the AC category.”
He further added, “Historically we have seen good growth from this region. It still continues to be a strong growth market for us. This year is no different as we are targeting a growth of 35% from this market with the launch of this product in our premium hi – end Eon sub brand.”
