SCMC Music Conference comes to New York City on June 2,2012

April 23, 2012 - PRLog -- The music industry of today is a very different world, influenced by the changing of times, and characteristics and movements in our culture.  The obvious revolution of mp3 downloads and free music online is just one of the catalysts behind changes in the industry.  This conference is designed to bring to you the right tools, information, and tips from insiders on how to "brand" yourself as a label, artist, or producer in the business and stand out.  

Many of the most prominent and highly esteemed executives will be attending this event.  Major record labels from the likes of Bad Boy Records, to Interscope will be there to scout local and independent artists, and songwriters and producers.  This is literally a "bridging the gap" type of event, that will merge underground talent with the Mainstream.  In a nutshell, the event is a force that brings you the new artists that arise as the freshmen that you eventually see on media sources such as such as XXL Mag's Freshman List.  Writer's, Websites, and other music companies and affiliates will be covering this conference.    

This year's conference platform also is for songwriters, artists, and producers as well as independent record labels.  There will be a panel available doing one-on-one sit downs for attendees to discuss important issues relevant to the business today.  

SCMC this year has contributed donations to local Goodwill services as well as The Salvation Army in the New York City area. The SCMC is very much considered major music news this year.  The success from last year's conference is driving a very successful run for this year's high profile event in Washington.
