Local author Jonathan Fann to kickoff book release at two book signings in April

Springfield, MO, April 12, 2012: Christian Publishers Outlet (CPO) and Second Baptist Church are pleased to announce book signings with local author and military chaplain, Jonathan Fann. “Grieve Like A Man: Finding God’s Strength as You Walk Through Your Loss” was released in March from Harvest House Publishers while Fann was deployed overseas. The author will be available to meet and discuss his book for a limited time while on leave from his year-long tour.

“Ministry is an important part of CPO’s mission. It’s a real privilege to host a book signing for Jonathan knowing many have been and will be blessed by his book and his testimony,” said Bruce Erdel, owner of CPO in Springfield.

Fann will be autographing copies of “Grieve Like A Man” at CPO on Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at 4145 S. National Avenue, Springfield, MO. He will also have a book signing at Second Baptist Church, 3111 E. Battlefield, Springfield, MO on Sunday, April 29, 2012. Services at Second are at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. Fann will be available before and after each service.

“Grieve Like A Man” offers men a practical guide to navigating the path of grief in a culture where men are taught to be tough. Fann also provides insight for wives, mothers, sisters, and friends into how men grieve differently than women and how they can come alongside the men in their lives who are hurting from a loss. The book has been endorsed by local authors Jennifer Rothschild and Ted Cunningham, as well as by national support group for infant loss, M.E.N.D. (Mommies Enduring Neonatal Death www.mend.org).
