Chris Tatum Named Director of Communications for Nashville-Based WellCity
Veteran Broadcast Journalist, Turned Publicist, Will Help Shape WellCity’s Message; Oversee Its Communications Strategies

Nashville, TN - - April 23, 2012  WellCity is proud to announce it has promoted Chris Tatum to the position of Director of Communications.  Tatum previously held the position of Director of Public Relations & Media at WellCity.

“I’m thrilled to expand my role within WellCity,” Tatum says of his promotion.  “I love WellCity and look forward to further shaping the company’s future through its messaging.

“Chris has done an outstanding job for us as our PR and Media Director,” says WellCity Founder & CEO, David George.  “We believe in promoting from within our company and Chris is exactly who we need to oversee all of our communications strategies.”

Tatum joined WellCity in July of 2011.  Before that, he was President and Founder of his own public relations company, Anew PR.  He also handled several high profile corporate accounts for Webster & Associates Public Relations.  

Prior to launching his public relations career, Tatum spent years as a broadcast journalist, filing reports for CNN, The Weather Channel, and several local stations.  He most recently worked at Nashville’s WSMV TV from 2006 – 2008 and at Nashville’s Fox 17 from 2010 – 2011.  In the course of his broadcasting career, Tatum won an assortment of awards, including two Associated Press awards and two trophies from the National Association of Black Journalists.  

Since joining WellCity’s staff, Tatum has helped craft the company’s message and has played a vital role in developing brands for WellCity’s line of signature wellness products.  He also handled public relations duties for The WellCity Foundation’s first-ever Symphony of Wellness fundraiser, in 2011.  His video script-writing skills have also proved invaluable to WellCity.
