Siltek Group Inc. is Accepting Trade Bids for Lauderhill Performing Arts Center & Library

April 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Proposal due date:  Wednesday, May 23, 2012 by  3:00 PM .
Broward County Business Enterprise Program requires 28 % CBE Participation.
To be deemed a responsible and responsive bid, proposals must include the following items:
      •  a detailed line item scope of work and unit cost,
      •  acknowledgment of receipt of applicable wages,
      •  acknowledgment of receipt of all addenda,
      •  all required bid forms, fully executed,
      •  copies of your current minority certifications (if applicable),

A site visit will follow the pre-bid meeting on May 1, 2012, 9:00 AM, held in Room 135 at Lauderhill City Hall, 5581 West Oakland Park Blvd.
All Requests for Information (RFI) are to be in a written format; deadline for questions is May 18, 2012 by 11:00 AM.


Project Description:
The Performing Art Center, a 47,585 SF building, will be located at the Broward County Regional Park, 3800 NW 11th Place, Lauderhill, FL. and has been designed to attain LEED Gold standard (entire project).

The Center will include, at minimum:
     •  1,200-seat theatre with a stage house and performer support,
     •  a large multi-purpose room,
     •  a multi-functional lobby,
     •  front-of-house amenities such as a concessions stand, exterior roof terrace
        and outdoor plaza.                    
A Public Library will be constructed  over an area of 10,000 sq. ft. attached to the PAC,  potentially sharing its multipurpose room with the Arts Center.
Energy efficiency measures will include:
     •  heat recovery,
     •  demand controlled ventilation,
     •  solar thermal heating,
     •  a 10 kW solar array.
Site improvements include:
     •  visitor and staff parking areas,
     •  landscaping,
     •  exterior lighting,
     •  emergency generator,
     •  pedestrian connectivity,
     •  related site improvements.
