OHIO IDOL STARTS IN 45 DAYS
Mount Vernon, Oh, April 23, 2012 – For those dreaming of becoming an “idol”, Ohio has the contest for them. Ohio Idol is a statewide singing competition that is exclusively for Ohio residents that are 12 years of age and older. Contestants can compete to win $10,000.00 in cash and a recording contract. “There is so much talent here in Ohio that we never get to see on TV” said Steve Wise, President of InTune Promotions and show creator. “We want to give the talented residents of Ohio a place to showcase their talent, get performance experience and professional guidance. Our industry judges, along with the cash prize and recording contract, are keys to helping talented singers get on their way to a professional career.”

The Ohio Idol competition will consist of four rounds of auditions. The first round will be held at Westerville Central High School in Westerville Ohio on June 9th 2012. During the first round of auditions, everyone who registers will have the opportunity to sing in front of a panel of judges from the music industry.

The Top 100 singers will be invited to audition in the second round to be held at Westerville Central High School in Westerville Ohio on June 16th and June 17th 2012. The second round of auditions will be held in front of a live audience and 50 will be performing on each day. This event is open to the public but a limited number of seats are available so reserve yours today.

The third round will be showcasing our Top 50 singers from the state of Ohio, performing live in front of thousands at this years’ Red White & Boom event held in Columbus Ohio. Last year the attendance was 475,000 people to this venue. The Top 10 will advance to the Finale.

The FINALE: The Top 10 will perform live on the Main street stage at The Ohio State Fair. This is where the winner will be announced and we will find out who will be in our Top 5 to continue on to tour the state of Ohio for the following year.
Those who wish to compete must fulfill the following criteria:
•   Must be 12 years of age or older by June 9th 2012
•   Must be a resident of Ohio. Proof of residency required
•   Must not be under contract with an agent or record company
