Healthplex Dental Insurance Goes Green

April 20, 2012 - PRLog -- The worldwide “Green” initiative has become very important to ensure the preservation of our planet’s natural resources. Healthplex has taken tremendous strides to reduce waste and the use of our natural resources.

Healthplex has teamed up with eCycle Group to recycle all of our inkjet and toner cartridges.  Millions of inkjet and toner cartridges are thrown into our planet’s landfills and incinerators each year when in fact 97% of those materials can be recycled. It doesn’t just stop at the office. We also encourage our employees to recycle their personal cartridges, old unused cell phones and MP3 players through this initiative.

Insurance companies are notorious for using a lot of paper, which is why Healthplex is taking tremendous strides to go digital and reduce our consumption of paper. Instead of sending out brochures, provider books, and forms to our potential members, we encourage them to use our website as much as possible. In fact, Healthplex has reduced our printing needs by about 20% over the last two years. We also make sure to recycle all of the paper used in our corporate office. There are recycle paper receptacles located next to every printer and other accessible locations around the company.

We will continue to look for ways to reduce our consumption of natural resources because it will not only help us save money, it will help to save our planet.
