April 20, 2012 - PRLog -- Today’s Caregiver magazine, the nation’s longest-running national caregiver magazine and its companion website, , dedicated to educating, supporting and training family and professional caregivers since 1995, announced today that legendary "Happy Days" star Henry Winkler will serve as the keynote speaker at the magazine’s 116th Fearless Caregiver Conference. Mr. Winkler is Today’s Caregiver magazine’s 100th celebrity caregiver cover interview.

“We are honored to have Henry Winkler as Today’s Caregiver magazine’s 100th Celebrity Caregiver. Mr. Winkler joins the magazine’s caregiving club of celebrity cover interviews which include Clay Aiken, Debbie Reynolds, Deepak Chopra, Clay Walker, Betty White, Barry Manilow, Rob Lowe, Linda Dano, Fran Drescher, Dixie Carter and Former First Lady Rosalyn Carter,” states Gary Barg, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of Today’s Caregiver magazine who has conducted all of the interviews.

Among the other cover interviews that Barg has conducted for the magazine are Academy Award winning actress Olympia Dukakis, Reba McIntire, Wynonna Judd, Delta Burke, Joe Montana, Dana Reeve, Ed Asner, Larry King, Leeza Gibbons, Joan Lunden and Robert Wagner.

“We are awestruck by the 100 celebrities who have shared their own personal stories with our readers over the years. When I began this journey nearly 18 years ago, I could never imagine that we would be joined at our Fearless Caregiver Conferences by celebrities such as Della Reese, Debbie Reynolds, Robert Urich, Clay Walker, Patricia Richardson, Clay Aiken, Linda Dano and Leeza Gibbons.  States Barg, “The thing that remains consistent at each of these events is that when you bring 400 family caregivers and one celebrity who is also a family caregiver together, what you actually have is a room filled with 401 family caregivers. Caregiving is an incredibly personal and life-changing experience that is shared by the celebrities and attendees alike. For example,” he adds, “at the Fearless Caregiver Conference keynoted by Debbie Reynolds, family caregivers spent more time talking with Debbie about her mom’s care than about Singing in the Rain!”

The Western Connecticut Fearless Caregiver Conference will be held from 8:30 – 2:30 on May 24th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Southbury, Connecticut.  Family caregivers interested in speaking with and receiving caregiving advice from aging and disability experts, caregiver advocates, Social Security specialists, elder law professionals, homecare and facility coordinators and support organizations can register for the daylong seminar and lunch sponsored by the Western Connecticut Area Agency on Aging. Tickets are available at or by calling (877) 829-2734.
