April 19, 2012 - PRLog -- The purpose of all counseling services offered at Lantern Lane Farm is to provide presence and assistance in a "safe place" as people seek to discover truth and become healthier emotionally, spiritually, and physically. The caring and compassionate therapists at Lantern Lane Farm (http://lanternlanefarm.org) tailor their counseling sessions to meet the unique needs of every individual. They often utilize Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) and Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) in their approach, which enable individuals to gain valuable insights about themselves and others through activities with horses (100% on the ground).  Counseling services provided by their staff include premarital, marriage, and family counseling, career counseling, individual adult counseling, as well as a variety of children's counseling services ranging from anxiety and depression, dealing with divorce or trauma, to coping with a learning disability.   In addition, they have recently launched an after school program.  They often work with adults and teens that may not otherwise have the means or access to these therapy services.  All proceeds of the family festival this Saturday will go to Lantern Lane Farm ministry, where rest and restoration are provided to those who need spiritual, emotional, and physical healing.

This event on Saturday will hopefully bring more awareness to all the services Lantern Lane Farm provides for our community, all while having a Pet Adoption Fair with the Mount Juliet Animal Shelter, a Pony Show, over 50 local vendors, plenty of fun activities for the kids, and music to entertain you!

Nashville based singer-songwriter, Dax (http://www.daxofficial.com), is scheduled to perform at the event.   Dax grew up on a couple acres out in the country in southeastern Indiana with an abundance of animal pets, so he knows how healing that rural environment and how can beneficial a nurturing relationship with pets can be.  "I'm humbled and excited to be a part of this event.  I'm happy to be giving back to my community in this way and supporting such a great cause," states Dax.

Dax recently released his album, "Beating Hearts & False Alarms", which is a blend of poetic songwriting full of tangible imagery and genuine emotion, and Dax’s heavy guitar-driven riffs and pop hooks. His strong rock background and influences in bands like Pearl Jam, Days of the New, Kings of Leon, U2, and The Darkness, can be heard shining through the deep introspection in his ‘dark folk’ lyrics and glossy singer-songwriter sound.

There is free admission to the benefit.  Gates open at 10:00 am and it goes until 3:00 pm.  You're welcome to bring your lawnchairs and blankets - this is a rain or shine event!
