60 Business Leaders Share Success in New Book by Betsy Allen
Betsy Allen, CEO of Gaining Results, Inc. in Fort Myers announces the launch of her newly authored publication, "Got Results, Respect, Revenue? Innovative Strategies From 60+ Succeeding Leaders."
According to Betsy Allen, the idea for her new book, "Got Results, Respect, Revenue?, was conceived while sitting in an airplane waiting for takeoff. “I had a vision of partnering with inspired business leaders to compile a book on how these executives are successfully maneuvering through this challenging economy. I noticed the ones succeeding were wired differently than those who were desperate.” Through her extensive network of contacts, she identified and interviewed dozens of “movers and shakers” who shared their strategies, thoughts and anecdotes on everything from the need to “noodle” to the tragedy of the time clock.
Christine Ross, CEO of the Bonita Springs Area Chamber of Commerce, shares with Betsy that she “noodles” before making decisions. When asked to expound she replied, “I get things done, but first I noodle. Let me explain. I go to the gym. I use the workout time to noodle on what needs to be done and how. When I’m done with the workout, I’ve formulated what to do, when and by whom.”
Among the 60+ business executives interviewed for the book is Jim Sanger, Executive Director of the YMCA of Lee County. He shares his philosophy of leadership by stating, “No time clocks. I can tell if we are getting the job done or adjustments need to be made. We are humans serving humans.”
When asked about the unusual format of the book, Betsy explained that, “We live in a business environment that responds to snippets or sound bites of information. We formatted the book in ‘eye bites’, short and easy to read, for the executive ‘on the go.’ This book delivers this format by offering business insights and reflections from executives who are streamlining and simplifying their business to cut waste.
