NetCom Learning presents Anthony Peralta with the February Sarder Scholarship award

April 19, 2012 - PRLog -- NetCom Learning announced today the winner of the February Sarder Scholarship for IT professionals. The $2,500 scholarship was awarded to Anthony Peralta, who plans to further his education to take his IT career to the next level.

Peralta, a 2006 graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School, is employed in the Geek Squad Department of Best Buy, learning about hardware and software and the IT environment. Peralta is hoping to build on what he's currently learning in his IT job in order to take his career even further. Peralta hopes to use the Sarder Scholarhip to acquire his A+ Certification and establish himself in an entry-level position in the IT field. Eventually, he'd like to further his education and advance to a corporation such as Google, Cisco, IBM or Microsoft.

"I know for a fact that having Netcom Learning as a credential, I will be on the right path for achieving success in my professional field beyond my imagination. I am confident that by awarding me this scholarship, I will be able to fulfill one of my dreams, and I will take with me the name of "NetCom Learning" and be a successful reflection of the institution and the professors that will help along the way," Peralta said.

The scholarship was created as a way to give back to the community and further Sarder's mission to foster an environment of lifelong learning. Each month NetCom Learning awards a different student the scholarship.
