Novellas are becoming more and more popular, and the I Love Horror/Paranormal Novellas Blog Hop is devoted to them, specifically the horror/paranormal kind.  According to the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, a novella is "at least 17,500 words but less than 40,000 words." Novellas are perfect little reads you can enjoy on your Kindle or Nook.

What is horror/paranormal? The American Heritage Dictionary describes horror as "a genre of fiction or other artistic work evoking suspense and horror, especially through the depiction of gruesome or supernatural elements." They describe paranormal as "beyond the range of normal experience or scientific explanation." A horror/paranormal novella may include vampires, werewolves, ghosts, demons, Zxxtergins and more.  It all falls under speculative fiction.

The I Love Horror/Paranormal Novellas Blog Hop is open to authors AND readers of horror/paranormal novellas.  Participants may blog about anything horror related by way of lists, interviews, crafts, reviews, personal reflections, etc., but at least one post should focus on a horror/paranormal novella that either you wrote or you read. The goal is to get more exposure for horror/paranormal novellas.
