The Opus 3 includes a patented re-circulating extraction technology that allows clients to be exposed to a warm flow of downward air throughout the tanning process, drying clients in the process. The dirty air (overspray) remains strictly within the confines of the booth volume and ‘scrubbed’ continuously throughout the treatment using a comprehensive filter arrangement. Only 10% of extracted air is exhausted from the booth volume into the treatment room, having passed through 3 stages of filtration. The booth volume itself is illuminated with overhead lighting, ensuring the therapist is able to see where tan has been applied.

The spray tanning application technology is based on LVLP (Low Volume Low Pressure), minimising overspray while atomising solution into a super-fine mist for flawless application and using just an average of 40ml to 50ml per full body tan. The spray gun itself requires the minimum of maintenance, simply requiring a flush-through with warm water at the end of each day – no stripping the gun down and no adjustments necessary, which is good as there is no adjustment provided. This LVLP technology results in a much quieter system, unlike the noisy Turbine Blowers used to feed air to guns using HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) technology which on average, apply approximately 70ml+ of solution for a full body spray.
