April 17, 2012 - PRLog -- Macomb, MI – In the debut of the HyProCure® EOTTS device to the Chinese market, eight patients underwent this life-changing solution to talotarsal dislocation. Dr. Michael E. Graham, DPM, FACFAS and creator of HyProCure®, traveled to China from April 1-6, 2012, to assist local surgeons with the first ever EOTTS with HyProCure® procedures performed there. These procedures marked the official introduction of this innovative device to the Chinese market. With Dr. Graham’s assistance, several Chinese surgeons performed an EOTTS procedure on a total of eight patients. Dr. Graham was also honored to lecture and educate physicians on the importance of stabilizing the talotarsal mechanism.

Foot and ankle surgery is an emerging orthopedic specialty in China with a rapidly growing awareness and interest. Chinese physicians were first introduced to HyProCure® at the Sixth International Congress of (the) Chinese Orthopaedic Association (COA) in Beijing, China, December 1 – 4, 2011. Several prominent foot and ankle specialists were extremely impressed by the possibilities HyProCure® offered to help patents improve their quality of life. Plans were immediately put in motion to select patients. HyProCure® received SFDA approval (Chinese version of FDA) in 2011.

Specialists from the Beijing Tongren Hospital, Xi An Orthopedic Hospital and Beijing’s Wang Jing Hospital were among the physicians who were able to perform their first EOTTS procedure with the assistance of Dr. Graham. “It truly was a success. I was so honored to be asked to help these surgeons develop their skills utilizing HyProCure®. This was one of the most successful and rewarding trips I have made in my career,” said Graham.

The HyProCure® device, offered by GraMedica®, a global orthopedic medical device company, is a breakthrough treatment option for talotarsal dislocation, a common condition affecting millions of people of all ages throughout the world. When talotarsal dislocation occurs, it creates a damaging misalignment of forces both in the foot itself, as well as throughout the entire body. Via a minimally invasive procedure, HyProCure® instantly corrects the problem at its root and immediately works on improving and even reversing many of the symptoms and secondary conditions resulting from this common deformity. These include low arches, overpronation, plantar fasciitis or heel pain, knee pain, hip pain, back pain and many others, both in children and adults.
