Dublin Ireland 17/04/2012. Green Lojistik Danışmanlık, a leading Green Logistics Consultancy in Turkey has been appointed by the Supply Chain Carbon Council as their exclusive agent for providing Accreditation to Turkish companies recognising their Sustainability achievements.

Established in 2007, The Supply Chain Carbon Council works in partnership with global innovators from the technology and strategic advice sectors to tackle the issues surrounding carbon emissions management and reduction.

Green Lojistik Danışmanlık will represent the Supply Chain Carbon Council exclusively in Turkey and assess those Turkish companies who have taken steps to reduce their emissions from their activities and provide Accreditation to those organisations deemed to have taken the necessary steps to reduce their emissions and operate a sustainable business model.
Following evaluation by Green Lojistik Danışmanlık and the Supply Chain Carbon Council the successful applicants will receive Accreditation recognising their efforts in running a sustainable business and reducing their environmental impact.

The Accreditation programme is in place to promote best practise in industry as it pertains to Sustainability and Environmental Competitiveness.

‘We at the Supply Chain Carbon Council are delighted to be working with Green Lojistik Danışmanlık who will give Turkish companies access to international Accreditation recognising their efforts in reducing their carbon emissions and operating a sustainable business model.’ comments John Connors CEO ESCI

'Governments, transnational corporations, non-governmental organisations and most of all, environmentally aware individuals worldwide aim to increase carbon efficiency by taking some fundamental steps. In Turkey, the overwhelming opinion is that legislature is necessary to take such large steps in sustainable logistics. The Ministry of Public Works and Settlement has started its progress in this area, with regulations set in 2012 and to take effect in 2015.
At a time when carbon management awareness is increasing rapidly in Turkey, Green Lojistik Danışmanlık believes that its fruitful collaboration with the Carbon Council will become a milestone in highlighting Turkey’s role in mitigating climate change.'
