Ryan William’s Agency Takes Silver District ADDY Award and Goes on to National Competition

April 17, 2012 - PRLog -- Ryan William’s Agency won a silver American Advertising Federation ADDY Award in the district level of the nationwide competition, which puts the West Palm Beach-based agency in the running for a national award in the last of the three-tiered event. The Saturday evening gala at the Rosen Center in Orlando, FL, saw awards presented for campaigns in a number of mediums from print, direct mail and mixed media to radio, television and interactive marketing. Ryan William’s received its silver ADDY for a holiday greeting card in the self-promotion category.

The ADDYs are the largest creative competition in the country, with more than 40,000 local entries competing in 200 markets coast to coast. The prestigious annual event is also the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition for creative excellence.

“We’re quite pleased to be included in the national competition,” says Valerie Staggs, president of Ryan William’s. “We put together a tongue-in-cheek holiday card that took a jab at having to say ‘happy holidays’ to remain politically correct instead of ‘merry Christmas’ or ‘happy Hanukkah,’ etc. Apparently, it hit the mark. Not only did we receive a lot of positive feedback after the mailing, but it seems to have scored with the ADDYs judges as well.”

More than 1,500 finalists will be judged in the national level of the ADDY competition and the winners will be announced at the national AAF Convention June 5 in Austin, TX.
