Attorneys Katherine Turner and Heather Sutton-Lewis Announce New Partnership

April 16, 2012 - PRLog -- Fort Myers, Florida – Attorneys Katherine Turner and Heather Sutton-Lewis, with a combined legal experience of more than 20 years, are pleased to announce their partnership and new law firm, Turner & Sutton-Lewis, P.A. The firm offers legal counsel in a variety of practice areas, including criminal, civil, juvenile delinquency, family law and criminal and civil appeals. The attorneys met while working for the Office of the Public Defender in Fort Myers. Their new firm is located in the Key West Professional Offices at Colonial and Royal Palm Square boulevards.

Originally from Atlanta, Turner is a 2004 graduate of the Stetson University College of Law, where she was awarded the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Scholarship Award for 2003-04. After graduation, she moved to Fort Myers and worked as a prosecutor in the State Attorney’s Office, 20th Judicial Circuit. From there, Turner diversified into practice areas that included criminal defense, debtor bankruptcy and civil litigation before joining the Public Defenders Office.

Sutton-Lewis graduated Magna Cum Laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and began her legal career as an appellate attorney in Chicago with the Office of the State Appellate Defender. After relocating to Fort Myers, Sutton-Lewis joined the Office of the Public Defender, 20th Judicial Circuit, handling a variety of criminal cases that included juvenile delinquency and specialty court dockets. She went on to work as the writs and appeals adviser of the Public Defender’s Office, where she and Turner met.
