Great New Metal Music Marketing Authority Don Harrison Helps Artists Succeed While Touting Top Bands

April 16, 2012 - PRLog -- A man passionate about great music and helping great musicians succeed, Great New Metal Music Marketing Authority Don Harrison will be offering his expertise and recommending amazing bands in his new columns on the innovative web site dedicated to showing off great new bands.  

Affectionately known as Wicked D and dubbed the “Indie Metal Entrepreneur,” Don Harrison knows the business of metal.  He is a former touring musician who now dedicates his time to the development, education, and promotion of independent metal artists.  As a member of Great New Metal’s management staff, most of his work remains behind the scenes.  

Twice a month, Don will offer practical advice to up and coming bands to help them connect with and grow an audience using DIY techniques ranging from social media to merchandising.

While preaching that music is a business, he does take time to enjoy the creative side of the industry.  Don’s tastes and expertise lean toward ethnic, regional or folk influenced metal, melodic death metal, thrash, and heavy / power metal.  Don will also write feature stories highlighting the bands that are in heavy rotation at his house.

Destroy Destroy Destroy  – "Interesting name for this Tennessee band with driving power metal (bordering symphonic), accompanied by blackened melodeath vox."

Joe Thrasher  – "Awesome thrash metal from Canada.  Bottom line -  stripped down, old school thrash is better than sex!"

Whispered  - "This Finnish melodic death metal band carries on the samurai warrior spirit by incorporating elements of Japanese folk music."

Halcyon Way – "A modern, progressive, heavy metal band from Atlanta with extreme and clean vox, catchy melodies, and precise vocal harmonies.”
