This is a perfect size for me. It works like a champ. I’ve had it since release and it keeps getting better. The amazon prime account means a lot of great shows I missed I can see.

If I want to shop on amazon I can easier than on my iphone, and I don’t miss having face time or a lot of apps on this thing because I have them on my phone. HD is great, the music selection is great and quality is noticeably better than iTunes, and the movies are the same as Netflix and Hulu+ (which I also have) for the most part.

And facetime makes my face look round so I don’t miss it. Finally, if it breaks it would definitely suck. But unlike an ipad, it would only cost $199 bucks to replace. I’ve seen too many broken ipads on my commute to roll the dice on $700 for one of the new ones. Also, this will come down in price too, so you could probably buy 3 before you get near the cost of an old ipad. The value with this is off the charts really. Just my opinion.

After reading the reviews on the Kindle Fire, I almost decided to not buy it. All of the bad things about the Kindle Fire proved to be wrong. They must have got an older model because the one I got has worked great. Only one time have I accidentaly turned it off when using it. After turning it on I flip it over so the putton is on top and that solves that problem. It comes with the ability to set a code to lock the device and it works great. It does what I like, books, photographs and music. It does more but those three are what I needed in a notebook. I can now share these things with others outside the home anywhere I go. Like the way one can mark a page and then can find it in the index to get to it. The only thing I’m not happy with is the short amount of time the battery lasts. It makes the time at a doctors office or any other place one has to wait a long time for seem to go much faster. Still I’m so glad I got one. I may be doing it wrong, but trying to find a word in a dictionary is not easy to do. Will have to look into how to do that soon.

When Amazon’s Gold Box deal offered reconditioned Kindle Fires  $139.99 I decided to join the tablet crowd by ordering one. Understanding that Kindle uses Android, the user interface differences is what clearly sets it apart form Android devices. Overall, I’m very happy and satisfied.
