The Results of Yesterday's Poll: Sunpeaks Ventures (SNPK) leads the Top 10 traded

April 13, 2012 - PRLog -- After the close of yesterday's trading session on the OTCBB, the results showed that only two penny stocks out of the the top 10 most actively traded finished in positive territory.

Shares in the penny stock of Sunpeaks Ventures  led the group finishing the session at $1.73, up 12.34% on dollar volume of $47,384,888. A total of 28,683,681 shares were traded on 7,168 executed trades.

Speculators believe this could be the end of the run for the highly promoted penny stock of SNPK as announcements were made yesterday of "strong buy" ratings issued and a price target of $9.00 was quoted. The same treatment was given to another once hot penny stock, North Springs Resources  which reached its peak the day following its coverage from a non-Wall Street affiliated research group.

Shares in NSRS plunged from their high of $1.72 on February 7 to as low as below $0.10 earlier this week. Shares in the penny stock, NSRS, finished 11th in the most actively traded for yesterday's session, up 30%, to close at $0.078.

#5 was marijuana focused Cannabis Science  which closed up 6.92% at $0.139 on 703 trades worth $891,045. A total of 6,607,266 of CBIS traded in yesterday's session, roughly 1/3 of the penny stocks 5 Day Average Volume of 18,535,430.

#6 was MMA focused Takedown Entertainment  whose shares were "takendown" -28.26% to $0.0165 on volume of 24,378,441. $519,888 worth of the penny stock was exchanged in 565 executed trades.

#7, an old favorite, Legend Oil and Gas  made an appearance ending the trading session at $0.70, down -9.09%. $768,946 worth of LOGL traded on volume of 1,086,283 via 471 trades executed. Yesterday's volume was double the 5 Day Average Volume 501,413.

#8 was the penny stock of Stevia First . STVF shares closed at $2.03, down -0.98% on volume of 672,721. $1,400,884 worth of STVF exchanged via 436 executed trades. Shares in STVF reached as hgh as $2.20 on the day.
