April 12, 2012 - PRLog -- East Coast Horror Group and Horror Realm have teamed up to present a special charity screening of George Romero’s 1985 zombie film “Day of the Dead” on May 12, 2012 at the Hollywood Theater in Dormont (Pittsburgh, PA).  Tickets are $10 and proceeds benefit Scares That Care (www.scaresthatcare.org), a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides money, toys and other items to help sick children.

The event begins with a zombie crawl starting at Eljay’s Books in Dormont at 6 PM.  To help celebrate, Eljay’s is offering humans and zombies a 20% discount on all horror books purchased on the day of the event.

Zombies can then shamble to the Hollywood to meet stars of the film including Lori Cardille, John Amplas, Antone DiLeo, Mark Tierno and Michael Gornick, who will also participate in a Q&A session following the screening.  There will also be a silent auction of horror themed merchandise and artist Ed Quillin of Deadburgh Designs and Illustrations on hand doing “Scaricatures” which will benefit the charity.  Prescreening meet & greet with the stars will begin at 7 PM followed by the film screening at 8 PM.
