Entrepreneur Christophe Vandaele Ventures to the North Pole
Entrepreneur Settles Dispute with Santa Clause by walking to the Geographic North Pole on the Arctic High 90° North Pole Expedition. Vandaele will be acquiring the coveted Last Degree badge from foursquare in celebration of foursquare day.
Christophe Vandaele is the managing director and founder of HI7E, a private investments partnership providing broad-based, pro-active business turnaround management solutions, offering hands-on management and consultation relative to improving deteriorating financial and operational performance of small to middle market companies. Christophe is a serial entrepreneur, previously founding several successful start-ups and guiding them to exit.
Upon reaching the Geographic North Pole on April 16, 2012 Christophe Vandaele will use his Iridium 9555 satellite phone connected, by cable, to an HP PDA device. The device contains a piece of software called Contact 5 which will allow Vandaele to connect to foursquare at the bare minimum level, sufficient enough to "check in” and acquire the coveted Last Degree badge.
The badge was originally created to be unlocked, one time, only by polar adventurer, Parker Liautaud, on his expedition in 2010. Foursquare has agreed to allow Christophe Vandaele to unlock the badge in celebration of exploration and foursquare day.
