Volunteers required for celebrity Country Fair event

April 10, 2012 - PRLog -- On the 9th of June, Fyvie Castle in Aberdeenshire will host the spectacular and star studded Grampian Country Fair. The only country fair of its type in Scotland, volunteers will join Inspire staff and ITV’s Emmerdale celebrities for a fantastic day of outdoor events, glitz and glamour in stunning outdoor surroundings.

Events on the day include a 160 foot bungee jump, 5k Fun Run, country pursuits and attractions, live music, crafts, vintage vehicles and much more, with falconry, motorbikes, working sheepdogs, gun dogs, children’s entertainments and displays, autographs and access to the famous Fyvie Castle itself among the many stunning attractions on display. Those volunteering at the event will get a free pass to the event and Fyvie Castle itself (normally £10) whilst on break, with lunch and travel expenses paid for. Volunteers are expected to assist with all on the day activities, events and stalls on a rotational basis, enjoying all the day’s events in equal measure.

All proceeds from the event will go to the inspirational charity Inspire who enable empowerment to children, young people and adults with learning disabilities and additional support needs in North East Scotland.  The charity are holding a Grampian Country Fair volunteer information evening on Friday 27th April at Paramount bar in Aberdeen for those interested in helping out on the day, starting at 7.30pm.
