April 11, 2012 - PRLog -- WOW!! Most people in America have iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S, which is simple, elegant and enjoyable. But it is fragile, what are we going to do if our iPhone 4 slip our from your pocket and shatter  its screen on the street, if there is no bumper or the phone body is desperately tumbled.

Firstly, you need to take the sim card out of your iPhone 4 and also remove the sim card holder as well. Your next step is to take the two screws at the bottom of the phone beside your USB connection out using a screwdriver (Phillips). Once this has been done, it will allow you to remove the back cover from the iPhone 4 (the side with the Apple logo on it). All you need to do is to lift it up and it will come off easily. Using another mini Phillips screwdriver you now need to remove the battery, there is a small silver panel near the bottom left hand side of your phone with one screw on it – remove this. This will let you remove the battery connector from its motherboard.

This makes it easier to remove the battery from the phone. You may feel like the battery will not come out when pulling it, but it does, you just might have to be a little rough with it. Now you need to remove more screws from the iPhone 4, there is five screws at the top of it and all of these need to be removed(3 on the left hand side and 2 on the right hand side). After removing the screws it’s time to remove the shield that the screws were just on. It’s important to remember that there are a couple on hinges that allow this shield to be removed, so slide it towards them.

There are also two screws on the middle of the phone just under where the safety hazard plastic cover is, use a Phillips screwdriver to remove these as well. This lets you remove another small shield. It’s now possible to remove the full connector from the motherboard. Once again use the same screwdriver to remove two screws that hold a vibrating motor in position, this is located directly opposite from where the iPhone 4 camera is, on the right.

You should see five connectors that are attached to the motherboard, your next step is to disconnect this by using a case opener tool. There are four that are all together and one by itself on the left. Make sure you take your time doing this step as these are very important and shouldn’t be damaged. There isn’t a certain order you need to know to take these off, just one at a time.

You’ll now need to use the case opener tool once again to take off the camera, just detach the connector from the phone. You should be able to see a ribbon cable that is connected to the iPhone 4s motherboard, simply remove this. This will allow you to see a screw that needs to be taken out. Use the same screwdriver to get rid out this screw along with another screw that’s on the opposite side near the speaker. It’ll now be possible to remove the speakers housing but be aware that there is still a wire that is attached to it so make sure that you disconnect this before going any further as you don’t want to damage your phone even more.

You’re nearly there now, there’s not long left to go. Next, take away a screw that’s at the side of the motherboard and now there’s only one more screw eft to be taken out. At this stage, I’d like to remind you that you should have all the screws that you have just removed in a safe place as if you misplace any of them you might have a hard time trying to get these parts again. One of your final steps is to remove the motherboard. You’ll now have access to
six big screws that are located at the sides of your device and there is also four small screws that are located in each corner. Remove every one of these.

This will be your last time using the case opener tool, put it between the silver bezel and the front screen that is cracked or damaged and go all the way around the iPhone 4 until it separates. You should be able to take off the front screen at this point, but just be careful as the screen is attached with adhesive tape.

You have now removed the cracked screen and your next step is to read this article from the end to the start to replace your damaged iPhone 4 screen.

Easy, right?
