YMCA of the Rockies Announces #Wish4Camp Campaign to Raise $40,000 in Summer Camp Scholarships
YMCA of the Rockies' Camp Chief Ouray starts #Wish4Camp Twitter Campaign in an effort to raise $40,000 and send 80 kids to summer camp. Each wish tweet unlocks a $5 donation towards the total.
WINTER PARK, Colo.- Experiences at camp last a lifetime. With the launch of Camp Chief Ouray’s “Tweet to Give” campaign, Camp Chief Ouray allows Twitter users to activate a $5 donation on behalf of YMCA of the Rockies just by sending a single Tweet. Through this unique interactive campaign, YMCA of the Rockies hopes to provide 80 camp scholarships this summer to kids who would otherwise be unable to attend camp. Each tweet, activating a $5 donation, helps the YMCA of the Rockies reach the goal of donating $40,000 to the Camp Chief Ouray scholarship fund.
How it works:
Wish4camp.com is an interactive camp fundraising initiative that allows Twitter users to activate a $5 donation just by Tweeting a camp wish with the hashtag #Wish4Camp. Wish4camp.com aggregates the Tweets and each “wish” becomes a star in the night sky of an animated Camp Chief Ouray. An example of a wish that would trigger a $5 donation would be; I wish every kid can sing songs around the campfire #Wish4Camp. Users can tweet directly from the Wish4Camp.com, view current donation total and search for their tweet in the night sky.
