Conferense on collective investments in Russia

April 9, 2012 - PRLog -- The Fleishman-Hillard Vanguard agency has provided PR support for the international conference «The appeal of collective investment funds for investors».

Top officials from management companies, fund heads, credit and rating agency heads, financial analysts and journalists discussed the main aspects of collective investments and their appeal to Russian and international investors. The Closed-End Mutual Investment Funds (ZPIF), were the main subject of discussion. Participants in the conference agreed that it is necessary to change the psychology of the investor, as Russian investors aren't yet ready to set long-term goals, like their foreign colleagues.

Richard Hainsworth, President of the CFA Association (Russia) and RusRating national rating agency says: «ZPIF is a successful tool for investors, but in Russian conditions information about assets which enter into ZPIF, is opaque, therefore investors don't buy them. Thus there is currently a demand in the market for investment products like ZPIF, as there is low interest on bank deposits abroad». Nevertheless foreign investors need the fullest information possible on potential assets.
