Camelback Road in Phoenix is taking shopping to a new level by hosting the Briar Patch Marketplace arts and crafts shows in the parking lot in front of the store from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 29, as well showcasing an array of unique items inside the popular consignment shop.
    Hosting the Briar Patch Marketplace event is part of the store’s 2nd anniversary celebration.      
    Briar Patch Marketplace is one of the largest quality arts and crafts festivals in Arizona. Shoppers will find crafts, home and patio décor, unique gifts, folk art, jewelry, clothing, pottery and one-of-a-kind items.
    Padre’s restaurant, also located in the shopping center, will offer a limited menu of   bean burrito for $4.95, chicken quesadilla for $5.95, street tacos (carne asada, chicken or beer battered fish) three for $5.95, angus burger with fries for $7.95 or all beef hot dog for $4.95, the day of the festival. The restaurant’s official opening is scheduled for the following week.
    Urban Southwest, a store located in the plaza specializing in furniture, accessories, gates, lighting, art and gifts refashioned on site  from recycled materials will offer 10% of all  merchandise in their store the day of the Briar Patch Marketplace event.
    Inside the chic Camelback Consign and Design store shoppers will discover 7500 square feet of some of the most unique inventory in the state. Merchandise varies but generally includes an eclectic array of furniture from art deco to modern, rococo to mid era, as well as a vast selection of fine rugs, home décor such as glass sculptures, marble columns, chandeliers, lamps, paintings, candles and Asian Art, as well as jewelry, hand bags and more. Furnishings from nearly every era are on display, including many exclusive, one-of-a-kind collectables.
    Owners Mike Burns and Bernadine Fuller will also conduct individual searches for customers who seek specific, hard-to-find furnishings, furniture and accessories.
